Earth's Atmospere

The earth has an atmosphere that acts like a blanket. The biosphere is the part of the atmosphere that all life forms live in. The atmosphere is mostly made out of air. While the hydrosphere and lithosphere are made out of water and land. The moon has no atmosphere so when a meteor hits the moon's surface the area were it hit will always be there. Also since the earth has an atmosphere the meteor will burn up if it is smaller when it enters the earth's atmosphere. But when it is larger the meteor will hit the earth's surface the weather that is formed in the atmosphere will fill in the place were the meteor hit.

The science of rockets
NASA has used atlas rockets to launch probes and satellites into orbit around earth. On those rockets there are three stages. The stages are atlas, centaur, and payload.

The space programs
Its mission was to explore space. After many missions they did the Apollo 13. Their mission was to land on the moon. Their mission was unsuccessful. They landed back on earth in the pacific Ocean near Samoa.

Exploring robots
NASA has been working on a robot called astronaut assistant. The robot will be able to monitor temperature, pressure, and air quality.

Benefits of space science
Less than one percent of US budget is spent on NASA. People think the funds should not go to NASA but to an organization for disease research.
